This is not a criticism of the mod, as that's what the author intended and it would be silly to expect mod authors to accommodate players who are using mods to go completely outside the scope of the game. There's a certain point (before you get to form the Explorer's Guild) where it is mandatory to follow up with Dragon Rising and become the Dragonborn. If you're playing a non-Dragonborn playthrough LotD will not work for you. One thing that may not be obvious that a user needs to be aware of: You have to pursue the main quest of the Skyrim game and become the Dovahkiin in order to advance things with LotD. The other things the mod adds, though, like forming an explorer's guild, being able to hunt for artifacts, incorporating quest mods to explores new places.all that is really excellent. The author, icecreamassassin, has done some fantastic work with LotD, but Moonpath to Elsweyr is very dated and shows it, and things like collectible cards are just gimmicky. I agree with a lot of what's been said here - both that LotD is an amazing in-depth mod and that it's kind of gone too far out of scope for its own good. Notable ones being Realistic NPCs, Expanded Towns and Cities, Frostfall and Campfire, ASIS and Combat Evolved, Heavy Armory, Realistic Needs and Diseases, various mods for the skill trees and the smithing, alchemy and cooking systems, Deadly Dragons and Immersive Creatures, and Skyrim Unbound (sometimes).Į̶d̶i̶t̶:̶ ̶g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶,̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶c̶h̶e̶c̶k̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶n̶i̶n̶g̶.̶ Yawn! What's your favourite part of it?įor context, I enjoy modding my game, but I try to keep my modlist light and the game fairly close to vanilla. And I'm pretty happy with how I've got things at the moment. If I'm honest, the red text on the installation page is a little intimidating. One that I've left out so far is Legacy of the Dragonborn. I have tried most of the major mods on Nexus, along with some minor ones to my taste.
